Hi friends how are you today i am back again with a new recipe " Salted Caramel Crepes".Basically it's breakfast dish comprises of Salted caramel crepes with strawberries. It's prepare in night before and then bake in the morning. This recipe is very fancy decadent and very different from everyday breakfast.

Ingredients

For Crepes

  • 1 cup plain flour
  • Pinch salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 ½ cups milk

For topping

  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup salted caramel sauce
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 cup strawberries sliced
  • 1-2 tablespoons almonds crushed

Instructions

  1. For making crepes place flour, sugar, cinnamon and salt in large bowl and and then whisk to combine. Make it well in the center.
  2. Add eggs and begin to whisk them again into flour slowly slowly and then incorporating milk as you go make smooth batter quite liquid. Set  it aside to rest for 10 minutes.
  3. Take ½ cup of the salted caramel sauce in saucepan and bring it to simmer and then dd honey and milk stir to combine it should not be thick take off heat and set aside.
  4. Cook crepes in large non stick frying pan apply oil lightly with pastry brush on bottom of the frying pan. To cook crepes wait until the pan gets fairly hot and then ladle in enough batter to form thin layer, swirling the pan around to spread batter leave until the top of crepe looks dry then flip it carefully with spatula and then leave for 20 seconds and remove continue until all the batter is used up.

  5.  Each crepe use about 1/3 to 1/2 cup of batter. If the crepe cracks don’t worry you can just move it to the bottom layer so it isn’t visible.

  6. Crepes can be folded into any shape of preference as you want I folded them in quarters layer them in  large oven proof dish. I have a square dish so I decided to make two layers first put the crepes on bottom layer pour half the salted caramel sauce and make the second crepe layer pour over the rest of the sauce and the fresh washed strawberries.
  7. Cover the crepe bake with aluminum foil and store it in the fridge.
  8.  In the morning take out the crepes from the fridge and heat the oven on 180 C. Once the oven is pre heated bake crepes for 20 minutes in the oven until sauce is bubbling.
  9. Garnish it with strawberries and almonds in the end.
